7 Ways to Stand Out from Other Sign Shops

The sign industry has become highly competitive, especially over the past few years. It is important to find ways to stand out from the competition because if you don’t someone else will shine instead of you! So, what can you do at your sign shop to stand out when you may offering similar products as your competition?

Many businesses resort to lowering costs so as to bring in more business than their competition. But, these days people are becoming more creative and finding others ways that work to get more attention to their company and to retain the customers that they have. Here are some creative ways that may help your sign shop stand out from those you compete with:

1. Treat each person that reaches out to your company with enthusiasm and respect. Obviously, not all of the people that call your shop for product or services will become a customer. But, when you communicate with them with enthusiasm and respect, you chances are higher! Plus, your company will be more memorable, so they may become evangelists of your company by sharing their experience with others, even if they do not become a customer. Enthusiasm and respect are very contagious!

2. Make sure every staff member is well informed about the products and services offered at your sign shop. This includes sales people, designers, printers, installers and customer service reps. When all staff member truly understand what is offered at your shop, there is a special unity and understanding among everyone which shows to those looking in. In addition, this is very impressive when new or even repeat customers are communicating with various staff members. It eludes a sense of pride for a company when everyone is in the know. This will allow people to be wowed by what you offer. Show off on Facebook, twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn and other social networks. Also, submit to contests and other media outlets. Let people see your shop’s awesomeness.

7. Get feedback! Show your customers that you care about their opinions. Ask them what they really thought about your products and services and about their experience of working with your team. Send them a feedback survey asking them the questions you want to know. If you are not using the Customer Feedback Add-On, then you are missing out on a cool way to show your customers you care, as well as losing out on gaining a huge wealth of valuable knowledge that can benefit your shop.

5 Ways Sales Lead Management Software Can Help Achieve Your Sales Goals in 2015

The first month of 2015 is almost over. Hopefully, you have already set your sales goals. If not, view this sales goals video will show you how to set them up in signVOX. Here are some ways how:

1. Notes: When talking with a sales lead, there is a lot that is said. Sometimes remembering all of what what stated during each sales call can be challenging. However, when taking sales nosign shop sales leads notestes of each and every sales call, you will have a record of what was discussed so there are not mistakes as to what was said and what was not said. This can be helpful for future reference or if another staff member needs to know what is happening with the sales lead if you happen to be out of the office when they call.

 

2. Tasks: You can assign tasks to staff members right from the sales lead in your shopVOX or signVOX accout account. These tasks can be anything from follow up calls, to research or preparing a quote. These tasks can be tracked so you know if and when they are being completed.

Checking the calendar at the beginning of every week will give you time to review notes and complete tasks for each sales call. This preparation will greatly enhance your chances of closing the sale.

Teamwork needs to be consciously and consistently practiced and encouraged in order for it to be effective and to drive results that will take your company to the next level. Having a teamwork plan in place is vital to ensure that teamwork is a part of the everyday processes in your shop.

There are many ways to create and to encourage an effective teamwork plan. Here are four ways:

  • Hold Regular Staff Meetings that will remind people of their roles and of the importance of teamwork, as well as open communication so staff can express themselves regarding projects and other areas of the work environment. 
  • Establish Trust so that employee will feel confident in their rolls. This gives them wings to fly and to accomplish greatness at your company.
  • Acknowledge Teamwork. When you see excellent teamwork being played out, compliment it, acknowledge it and reward it in some way. This inspires more teamwork in the future.
  • Have a System in place so that teamwork is simple, enhanced and encouraged. As a user of either signVOX or shopVOX, you have access to a system that will help immensely with maintaining teamwork.
